No water discharge limits were exceeded during this reporting period.
As per our discussions last month, the wastewater sample that was collected from Discharge Number
007A on March 14, 2012, and analyzed on March 15, 2012, by ACZ Laboratories, for fecal coliform in
wastewater, was analyzed at dilutions of 0.1 mt, 1 m1' and 25 mts. The 0.1 m1' and 1 mt samples were
clean, but unfortunately the 25 m? sample was TNTC (too numerous to count or greater than 60 colonies
per 100 mt, per ACZ Laboratories' Standard Operating Procedures). The lab should have performed
numerous dilutions between l ml? and 25 m$s but unfortunately they did not. Therefore, the TNTC
analytical result for fecal coliform was eliminated in the 7 -day Average or Daily Maximum, and 30 -Day
Average calculations. Another sample from the same Discharge Point was collected on March 27, 2012,
and analyzed on March 28, 2012, and the analytical results showed 80 colonies /100 ml of fecal coliform
which is well within our permit requirements.
Should you or your staff have questions or need further information concerning MCC's DMR's, please
feel free to contact me at (970) 929 -2308.
Sincerely,
Robin J.
