There are sparse stands of pinon/juniper on portions of the proposed borrow area. Any trees <br />needing removal will be removed taken to an approved landfill prior to topsoil removal. <br />(3) Topsoil stockpiles shall be stored in places and configurations to minimize <br />erosion and located in areas where disturbance by ongoing mining operations will <br />be minimized. Such stockpile areas must be included in the affected areas and <br />subject to all reclamation requirements. <br />Please see Section 6.3.3(1)(b). Once the topsoil stockpile is removed, the stockpile's footprint <br />will be reclaimed according to the approved reclamation plan. <br />(4) Once stockpiled, the topsoil shall be rehandled as little as possible until <br />replacement on the regarded, disturbed areas. <br />Please see Section 6.3.3(1)(b). <br />3.1.12 Signs and Markers <br />(1) At the entrance of the mine site the Operator shall post a sign, which shall be <br />clearly visible from the access road, with the following: <br />(a) the name of the Operator, <br />(b) a statement that a reclamation permit for the operator has been issued <br />by the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board, and <br />(c) the permit number. <br />(2) The boundaries of the affected area will be marked by monuments or other <br />markers that are clearly visible and adequate to delineate such boundaries: <br />This is a 111 Special Operations Permit Application; however the permit boundary and <br />the affected boundary are not the same. Only the affected area will be delineated. <br />Operations on the affected area will be monitored to ensure the affected area mining <br />limits are adhered to. <br />(3) The Office may approve an alternative plan for identifying the boundaries of <br />the affected land if the Operator includes such a plan in the permit application: <br />Please see Section 3.1.12(2) above. <br />28 <br />
