INTRODUCTION
This report presents the Puckett Land Company's Nolte Pit #1 erosion control report. The
design and analysis of this site has been performed in accordance with the County of Garfield
County Engineer Specifications, latest edition and Urban Drainage and Flood Control District,
Urban Storm Drainage Criteria Manual, Volumes 1, 2, & 3, June 2001. Drawings, tables, and
design calculations are included in the appendix of this report.
Site Location
The site is located in Southeast Quarter of Section 19, Township 7 South, Range 96 West of the
6 Principal Meridian, County of Garfield, State of Colorado.
The site is bounded to the north by a Colorado Department of Transportation (C -DOT) Office
and yard; to the west and south by Bureau of Land Management (BLM) property; and to the
east by Colorado Department of Transportation's frontage road and Interstate -70.
Site Description
The site is approximately 22.34 acres in size. The site consists of an existing well pad and
native landscaping. The topography for the site generally slopes southeasterly at slopes ranging
from 2.0% to 37 %. The soils within the site are clay barns; rock outcrops and fall into Hydrologic
soils group Type D. The landscaping on site is native.
Proposed Project Description
The proposed grading operations are being planned in order to provide earthwork for an
adjacent transportation project. A site access drive cut and a temporary gravel haul road will be
constructed.
EROSION AND SEDIMENT CONTROL PLAN
Volumes and Areas Impacted
The affected boundary area represents 13.96 acres. The grading operations for this project will
disturb approximately 9.86 acres. Cuts and fills ranging from -38 to +2 feet are expected during
grading operations. The final grading is expecting to see a net cut of 100,000 cubic yards. These
quantities are approximate and do not include over - excavation or shrink/swell factors. The
contractor is responsible for performing their own calculations for the earthwork. The Contractor is
responsible for hauling and disposing of any excess cut in an appropriate manner. Once the
grading is complete, the site will be stabilized with permanent landscaping as well as seeding and
mulching. Refer to the plans for location and limits of the grading operations.
The site BMPs depicted on the plans is tentative and subject to change based on the condition
of the soils, fill requirements, and contractor's needs. Should additional or different BMPs
become necessary, the plans are to be revised to reflect the deviances from the approved plan
set.
The contractor is to communicate all deviations and revisions to CLC Associates, Inc. and the
Garfield County Engineering Division. The revisions are to be marked on the plans that are
posted in the construction trailer.
Page 1
