This was an acreage reduction inspection conducted by DRMS at the Hall Irwin Baseline Resource site. This
site is located near the intersection of WCR 2 (Baseline Road) and WCR23 immediately northwest of Brighton
in Weld County. There are 209.6 acres currently permitted at this 112c site. The inspection was conducted by
Eric Scott of DRMS. The DRMS representative met with permittee representative Mark Johnson of Bestway
Concrete at the site office entrance at approximately 0900.
On March 23, 2012 Hall Irwin requested that the surface of the "water ski lake" and an un- vegetated parking
and boat launch area owned by Carl Eiberger ( +1- 16ac) be released from the permit area. Documentation was
also provided to verify the approval of the final augmentation plan for the water ski lake. The SEO approval
letter for this release request is now part of the site file.
During this inspection it was noted that the shoreline sloping for the water ski lake has been well done, and the
disturbed area is stable with no evidence of erosion. However, the vegetation on the surrounding property has
not yet been established. Only the surface area of the lake and the parking area have been released in this
permit action. The remainder of the adjacent property surrounding the lake is still in the permitted area until the
vegetation is established and the Russian olive trees are eliminated. The acreage reduction approval letter has
been sent to the operator under separate cover.
Inspection Contact Address
Mark Johnson
Hall Irwin Corporation
301 Centennial Drive
Milliken, CO 80543
OBSERVATIONS
PERMIT #: M- 1997 -058
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS
INSPECTION DATE: April 19, 2012
