On Dec , 7, 1978 I met with Chris Gray, District Conservationist for
the Soil Con^orvation Service at Norwood . ,Ye discussed thn Rice --and
:7oodriff property in reference to prime farmland. As Air . Gray points
out in his letter, (see attached) , the Dice and ,7oodriff pro�):.;rties
nre not prime farmland according to national standards but this
f�irml;fnd doe:; ::•ivc con-idernble local :importance. I agree with
Mr . Gray. This question should be addressed before our next permit
.application .
Also Mr. Gray expressed an interest in doing some feild trials of
so.ie plants which we may want to include in our reclailation plan for
the ranr;e tyre. Please let me know he,,v you foe] rfbout thi-c before
I pursue it -iny further.
