Therefore, <br /> abo4"2.27�acr,6-feet of suitable topsoil are expected from the <br /> mine s ee (Table 9-2) . <br /> SHAVANO SANDY CLAY LOAM - UNIT #5810E/D-2, 10-20% SLOPES. <br /> Approximately 3.36 acres of this moderately steep Shavano, eroded <br /> phase soil occur on the proposed mine disturbance area. The "A" <br /> horizon is 0.33 feet thick. Only 0.34 feet of "B" horizon mate- <br /> rial can be salvaged. This soil unit should yield 2.25 acre-feet <br /> of high quality surface soil fran the mine site(Te 9-2) . <br /> III. TOPSOIL REPT-ACE24MT <br /> Currently, there are approximately 20.39 acre-feet of topsoil <br /> contained in 14 stockpiles. Tables 9-3 lists individual volumes <br /> for each pile. Soil material from stockpiles 1 through 13 is <br /> considered to be highly suitable for a plant growth medium (see <br /> Soil Survey Report and Analyses, Tab 9) . Stockpile 14 was es- <br /> tablished after the 1979 field soil survey. A complete soil <br /> analysis will be performed on samples to be collected from this <br /> pile in spring 1980. All stockpiled topsoil shall be replaced <br /> according to the anticipated topsoil handling schedule (Table <br /> 9-4) on all post July 1, 1978 disturbance areas. <br /> a <br /> Approximately 106.8$ acre-feet of suitable topsoil is expected <br /> to be stripped from the proposed 1980-1984 disturbance area <br /> (Table 9-2) . The total 1980-1984 disturbance area is expected <br /> to be 83.52 acres which includes 1.02 acres of future road-bed <br /> and pond area that will require no topsoil replacement (Table <br /> 9-5) . The disturbance area during July 1, 1978 til January 1, <br /> 1980 was 24.00 acres which includes 1.38 acres of future road- <br /> bed area that will require no topsoil. The shop and office area <br /> comprises 6.65 acres. Therefore, the total disturbance area <br /> OR 9 i :� <br />
