Other observations:
• The primary spillway out of the West Ridge Pond is rusted and contains a sizable hole approximately 10
feet from the downstream end.
• The small pond below the West Ridge Pond was not discharging.
• As usual, there was a sulfuric smell from the discharge at the Moffat Pond.
For all ponds, no problems were observed with embankments or other pond features.
Some of the check dams above West Ridge Pond are holding water. No problems were identified.
South of the intersection of the North Road and the Lower Moffat Road, there is a low spot where water could
potentially pond and flow over the road rather than drain to a culvert. There is currently no sign that this has
happened. The roadside ditch should be re -cut or the problem should be otherwise addressed.
GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE:
The mine was found to be in general compliance with the permit.
Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 7
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4
Page 2 of 7
