Information included stream alpha lists, water
decrees, well permits and surface-water diversion
records;
c. field verification of the existence and condition
of key components of the Highline Canal and its
laterals, headgates, turnouts, and split boxes. The
locations of potentially impacted water rights were
also verified in the field;
d. review of the water requirements during and after
mining;
e. assessment of the potential impact to water rights
which may result from mining and reclamation
operations; and
f. development of an augmentation plan to mitigate
potential impacts to water rights, and a monitoring
plan to indicate changes in the surface-water flow
and water levels adjacent to the NUCLA EAST pit.
This report presents the results of GEOTRANS' study.
