Surrounding properties are zoned agriculture <br />Existing Conditional Uses for grovel mining exist to the <br />immediate west and along County Road 613 to the east <br />2 This will be a sand and gravel mining operation Activities <br />will include mining, processing, stockpiling and hauling of <br />the mined material. <br />3 No permanent structures will be built on the project area <br />during mining There is adequate space in the plant area <br />for parking and loading areas <br />4 Reclamation will run concurrent with mining per the Colorado <br />Mined Land Reclamation Board permit State permit submitted <br />on 31- March -2009 (Permit # M- 2009 -027) <br />5 A sign identifying the mine, per the state reclamation law, <br />will be placed at the mines' entrance <br />6 There are no easements on the project area <br />7 No permanent utilities are needed to develop the mine <br />Portable toilets and bottled water will be supplied during <br />active periods at the mine. The portable processing plant <br />is self contained supplying it own power source <br />8 Side slopes from the existing surface to the mine floor will <br />be graded 3h to Iv Stormwoter will be retained on site <br />during the life of the mine and allowed to evaporate or soak <br />into the ground Reclamation will be completed according <br />the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board permit that is <br />part of this Conditional Use permit application <br />9 Site will be develop in two stages Initially a 9 99 acres <br />area will be mined Some time in the future the state <br />permit will be expanded to cover the entire 26 73 acres <br />contained in this Conditional Use permit A copy of the new <br />permit will be provided to Planning Services for the file <br />10 The Homestead Canal is abandoned and has been removed <br />on the mine to the west of this site.
