Drive north for approximately 200 m until reaching a dirt driveway leading
northeast to modern brick house. 5MN1258 is located adjacent to, and on
the south side of the dirt driveway approximately 300 m southwest from
the brick house.
(No. 30 Cont .) Site 5MN1258 yielded several cores and primary flakes indicating
the utilization of raw lithic (stone) material for the purpose of manufacturing
chipped tone tools. However, Site 5MN1258 has been thoroughly destroyed by
cultivation of wheat and alfalfa. Only four artifacts were recorded for
this site: two ground stone and two chipped stone. It was still recorded
as a site, rather than as an isolated artifact, because of the presence
of both ground and chipped stone. Due to this site's severe loss of contexual
integrity, WCRM, Inc. recommends (1) that this site not require further work;
and (2) that it not be found eligible %o the National Register of Historic Places.
