This revision <br /> is for approval to expand mining operations into the Nucla <br /> East mining area, The application includes the required <br /> application form, instructions and description of the <br /> revision, a revised_•list� of exhibits, and ten volumes of <br /> material which, upon approval , can be directly incorpo-rated <br /> into the current Nucla PAP. <br /> Because of uncertainties associated with the start-up of <br /> the Nucla Generating Station and the scheduling of <br /> different test burns that they will be conducting, Peabody <br /> has had a difficult time predicting the timing of coal <br /> shipments to the power plant and thus in developing the <br /> mine plan. However, schedules call for coal shipments from <br /> the Nucla East mining area by January 1, 1989. In order <br /> for Peabody to meet that timing, it is imperative that <br /> permit approval be obtained by October 1, 1988. We realize <br /> that this is a very tight time frame within which to work. <br /> Please be assured that we will do everything we can to aid <br /> the Division with the review of this application. <br /> As always, as questions arise please let us know.
