EXHIBIT D
RECLAMATION PLAN The reclamation plan is the return the site to its natural
condition as rangeland or agricultural use. Upon completion of mining the slopes will be
shaped to a maximum slope of 4:1 , topsoil will be replaced to an equivalent depth as
found prior to mining, approximately 6 ". The reclaimed land will be disced corrugated to
minimize erosion and planted to correspond to the owners wishes using a drill, either
wheat production or a grass mixture recommended by the Conservation Service. The
common mix for this area is a PBSI Native Sandyland Mix drilled at 12 lbs PLS per acre.
The stockpile will be stabilized using the same mix drilled at a rate of 20 lbs PLS per
acre and watered. No building or improvements will remain after mining.
The estimated cost of reclamation isi as follows.
623 scraper placing 6" of topsoil 8066 cu/yds @ $1.50/yd $12,099
topsoil tillage and prep 10 acres @ $100 /acre $ 1,000
drilling seed over 10 acres including seed & straw crimp
@ $175.00/ acre $ 1,750
mobilization $ 2,750
total reclamation costs $17,599
As mining progresses the grade will be established as the mine floor and sloping will be
done as mining moves north. The only reclamation necessary at completion will be
placement of topsoil and seeding.
