Olsen: <br />On February 27, 2012, the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety approved the succession of <br />operators from Lafarge West, Inc. to Martin Marietta Materials, Inc. for this operation. Martin Marietta <br />Materials, Inc. is now the permitted operator of the Rich Pit, and as such, is responsible for all provisions <br />in M -1985 -218, as well as those specified in the Rules and Regulations. Lafarge West, Inc. is relieved of <br />all responsibilities concerning this operation. <br />The estimated liability amount of $344,500.00 exceeds the $51,542.00 performance bond currently held. <br />If you have not already done so, please submit additional bond in the amount of $ 292,958.00. The <br />revision will not be final until the bond is approved by the Division.
