The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
III. Cultural and Historic Resources - Rules 2.04.4 and 2.05.5(4)
The specific findings required under this section which were made in the
July, 1987 Findings Document have not been modified by the proposed revision
and those findings remain applicable.
The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
IV. Geology - Rules 2.04.5 and 2.04.6
Geologic information submitted in the original permit application adequately
addressed geologic conditions in the permit and adjacent area, including the
proposed 60 acre revision area. Geologic information is summarized in the
July, 1987 Findings Document, and that information is applicable to the
revision area. The operator is proposing to extend mining within the same
seam, with no change in mining methods or rate of extraction.
The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
V. Ground Water Hydrology - Rules 2.04.5, 2.04.7, 2.05.6(3) and 4.05
Ground water information submitted in the original permit application
adequately addressed ground water conditions in the permit and adjacent area
including the proposed revision area. The ground water narrative in the
July, 1987 Findings Document is applicable to the revision area.
To date, only minimal amounts of ground water have been intercepted in the
workings and pumped to the west sediment pond on the surface. The pond is
sized adequately to handle the anticipated mine water pumpage in addition to
storm runoff. Pumping of mine water inflow has not resulted in sediment pond
discharge and increased mine inflows are not anticipated to occur as a result
of the proposed revision. An approved monitoring program is in place in the
event that mine water pumpage should result in sediment pond discharge.
The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
VI. Surface Water Hydrology - Rules 2.04. 5, 2.04.7, 2.05.3(4) ,
and 4.05
The specific findings required under this section which were made in the
July, 1987 Findings Document have not been modified by the proposed revision
and those findings remain applicable.
The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
VII. Water Rights and Replacement - Rules 2.04.7(3) , 2.05.6(3) (a) (ii ) ,
c and 4.05.15
The specific findings required under this section which were made in the
July, 1987 Findings Document have not been modified by the proposed revision
and those findings remain applicable.
The operation is in compliance with the requirements of this section.
-5-
