The DRMS' letter dated April 11, 2012 transmitted its adequacy review for the referenced minor
revision. On behalf of New Elk Coal Company, (NECC) following are its responses to the
DRMS' comments and concerns.
1. Enclosed is a updated Figure 5, page 2.05 -16a. NECC is providing one full size drawing
and two 11" X 17" drawings for insertion into the permit application package.
2. The DRMS requested a discussion regarding the operation of Pond 001. The discussion
of the operation of Pond 001 was incorporated into revised page 205 -19.
