Box 1430, Palisade, CO 81526, has submitted a complete appli- cation for a permit revision to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety for its Road- side North and South Portals, mining permit No. C -81 -041. The proposed revision provides demonstration that sediment drainage control features at the North Portal, Cameo Refuse Disposal Areas of 1 And 2, and Cameo Borrow Areas 1 and 2 are no longer necessary and seeks approval to change the fi- nal reclamation plan for Ponds 6, 10, 11, 13 and other drainage features located at the North Portal and Coal Canyon. the goal of this revisions to gain approval from the Division to re- claim these drainaa a control features and make changes to the final reclamation plans The Roadside mines are lo- cated approximately three miles northeast of Palisade, CO at the interstate 70, Cameo Exit No 46. The permit area Is split east and west by the Colorado River and 1 -70, and is encompassed within the following lands: T10S, R98W., 6th P.M: Sections 26, 27, 28, 34, 35 T11S, R98W., 6th P.M.: Sections 1,2,11,12,13 T11S, R97W., 61h P.M.: Section 7 The location of these sections is contained within the U.S. Geo- logical Survey 7.5 minute Cameo and Palisade Quadrangle Meps.
