There was no debris on the road and the cable guard was in <br />place on the outside edge of the road. <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br /> The reclaimed access road l eading up the hill to the reclaimed fan site had a moderate to good vegetative <br />cover and appeared to be stable. The reclaimed fan site was stable as well and had a good vegetative cover. There <br />were new indications of slope instability at the backfilled por tal area on the west side of the hillside. A new small <br />hole near the cliff base and new cracks in the cliff side have appeared. The flat facilities area needs revegetation. <br /> <br />REVEGETATION – Rule 4.15 Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br /> The revegetated reclaimed are as of the access road and fan site on the hillside had moderate to good <br />vegetative cover. The west hillside portal area had a poor vegetative cover due to slope stability problems. The <br />vegetative cover on the flat facilities area was generally moderate, wi th bare ground at the former mine office area. <br /> <br />There was some tamarisk growing at the hillside spring water treatment pond and pond discharge area and at the <br />hillside spring origin area. The tamarisk needs to be removed. <br /> <br />SLIDES and DAMAGE - Rule 4.12: <br /> Signs of slope instability continue to show up at the portal area on the west side of the hillside disturbed <br />area. There are no other areas of the mine site that exhibit slope stability problems. <br /> <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br /> The bridge across the No rth Fork of the Gunnison River was passable. <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br /> The mine identification sign was on its post at the entrance to the site at the top of the hill. The required <br />mine information was on the sign. The “records location” sign was a lso on the post.
