It appears as though the contractor did <br />a good job spraying. It appeared that the majority of the Russian kn apweed that was along the haul road to the <br />Mine No. 5 portal area was sprayed and dead/dying. The knapweed that was in the field by ponds SH -P1 and SH - <br />P2 was also dead or dying. There were still live plants observed throughout the site (including behind the Mine <br />No. 9 refuse pile, along the berm to the Mine No. 5A portal area, the reclaimed Mine No. 4 portal and a few places <br />along the haul road to the Mine No. 5 facilities). MCM will need to continue to actively monitor and spray these <br />areas to keep the knapweed under control. <br />- MCM also sprayed the small patch of yellow toadflax that was west of the Mine No. 9 refuse pile. This spraying <br />appeared to be successful. MCM will need to keep a careful eye on this area to ensure the toadflax does not <br />return. <br />A s stated above, it appears as though the contractor did a good job spraying the thistle on the reclaimed Mine No. <br />9 refuse pile and the other thistle around the site. <br /> <br />S IGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br />- The new mine ID signs at the entrances along Colorado Highway 13 were all in place and in good condition. <br />The mine ID signs contain all of the necessary information. <br /> <br />DOCUMENTS RECEIVED : None <br /> <br />This concludes the 12 October 2011 complete inspect ion of the Williams Fork Mines. <br /> <br />
