September 8, 2011 C -1981 -035 /King Coal Mine TAK <br /> <br /> <br />Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year , ending 6/30/12 : 2 <br />Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year , ending 6/30/1 2 : 1 <br /> <br /> Page 4 of 9 <br /> <br /> <br />SUBSIDENCE – Rule 4.20: <br /> There was no evidence of subsidence over the portal areas. <br /> <br />SUPPORT FACILITIES - Rule 4.04: <br /> King I – There was no activity at King I other than mine staff at the bathhouse. <br /> <br />King II – The hazardous material/grease/oil storage area was in good shape, with all ma terials properly stored <br />within containment areas. No problems were evident at the four portals. Coal was being trucked off -site during <br />the inspection. <br /> <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br /> King I – The mine i.d. sign was properly displayed at the mine entra nce from County Road 120. Affected <br />area (“Permit Area”) markers are properly displayed around the surface facilities area. <br /> <br />King II – A mine i.d. sign was on display at the mine’s entrance on County Road 120. The surface disturbed area <br />is well -marked wi th “Permit Area” markers. <br /> <br />TOPSOIL – Rule 4.06 Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; <br />Redistribution 4.06.4: <br /> The King II topsoil stockpile appeared in good shape with no erosion evident. <br /> <br /> <br />DOCUMENTS RECEIVED - None <br />OT HER (SPECIFY) - None <br /> <br /> <br />ENFORCEMENT ACTIONS/COMPLIANCE <br /> <br />No enforce ment actions were taken as a result of this inspection and none are pending.
