The 102 dragline <br />was working on a pad during the inspection. <br /> <br />At the sound end of We st Pit, the103 dragline was making dump room beside the highwall. <br /> <br />In South Taylor Pit (northeast corner) the 114 shovel was loading trucks with interburden. <br /> <br />At South Taylor fill, trucks were dumping loads and a dozer was working. <br /> <br />In the East Pit, th e 101 dragline was idle. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Sur face Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> <br />Due to the cold weather (well below freezing), no snow melt runoff was observed during the inspection. <br /> <br />Drainage ditches, contour ditches and ponds were inspected in the East Pit area. No problems were observed. <br /> <br />All NPDES ponds were inspected except Stoker Siding, West Taylor, Section 16, and Section 21. The following <br />ponds were discharging: Streeter and East Taylor. The water flowing from these two ponds was clear. No <br />problems were observed with any of the embankments. The flume at Gulch A requires some willow removal.
