Hernandez, Alysha
From: Talvitie, Marcia
Sent: Tuesday, January 10, 2012 3:58 PM
To: johnnyrich @deltacoals.com; jestover @bresnan.net
Cc: Ebert, Jared; Brown, Sandy; Hernandez, Alysha
Subject: Hamilton Mine Bond Release Application - SL -3
Dear Johnny Rich and Jim Stover:
Release of Performance Bonds is covered in Section 3.03 of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado MLRB for Coal
Mining. At Johnny's request, I have compiled a potential timeline for the initial phase of the Division's review of bond
release application SL -3 for the Hamilton Mine.
The SL -3 application was received on January 5, 2012. The Public Notice (to be published once a week for 4 consecutive
weeks) has yet to appear in the San Miguel Basin Forum; the earliest dates would be Jan. 12, 19 and 26, Feb. 2. The
Proof of Publication must be submitted to the Division within 30 days after the final publication.
The Division has 10 days from receipt of the POP to determine completeness of application. However, if any
completeness issues are identified during the advertisement period, we will endeavor to communicate those to
Honeywood in advance. A bond release inspection will be scheduled at a later date.
Jared Ebert, of the Division's Denver office, will be the specialist with primary responsibility for reviewing SL -3. Please
let us know if you have any additional questions.
Marcia
Marcia L.
