The inspection commenced with a review of the mine’s
records, and continued with a field inspection. No one was available to represent the operator,
Oakridge Energy , Inc., during the ins pection.

The winter has thus far been generally mild, with warmer temperatures and minimal snowfall.
North -facing slopes were covered with a few inches of snow; flat -lying portions of the permit
area were muddy due to the snow’s having melted, and the ground not being frozen.

This mine has been subject to a reduced inspection frequency (one Complete Inspection per
quarter) since July 1, 2011. Phase II bond release for the entire permit area was achieved with
the approval of SL -4.

Due to the muddy gro und conditions, only those portions of the permit area adjacent to the paved
haul road were inspected.

AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1):
Permit records for the Carbon Junction Mine are stored and maintained at the offices of Goff
Engineering, in D urango. These records were available for viewing; a completed DRMS
Availability of Records form is attached to this report.
