The ripra p in the channels was holding up well. Between the Oak Gulch ponds, the bank of the <br />drainage is eroding and should be repaired. <br /> <br />Several culverts were inspected and maintenance needs were observed: <br />• The No Name culvert (under B/C Road) requires cleaning on downstream side. <br />• Culvert A3 requires sediment removal. <br />• The culvert just east of A3 requires a large amount of sediment removal as it is nearly clogged. <br />• Culvert next to shop (along D Pit Road) requires cleaning. <br /> <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br /> Th e mine was found to be in general compliance with the permit. <br /> <br />The following mining activities were observed (blasting described in Explosives section): <br />• The F Pit is being filled by Komatsu trucks. The pit floor has been ripped. <br />• In the Z Dip area, t he Le Tourneau loader was loading trucks with spoil, and the Queen Ann dragline was <br />casting spoil. <br />• In the K Strike area, trucks were being loaded with coal by an excavator; the Molly Brown dragline was <br />idle. <br />• At the K Ridge, soil was being dumped. <br /> <br />This complete coal inspection was conducted on November 15 - 17, 2011 by Rob Zuber, Jared Ebert, and Zach <br />Trujillo of the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety (Division). The purpose of the inspection <br />was to evaluate the on -the -ground co ndition with respect to Trapper Mine’s mining and environmental protection <br />activities. Graham Roberts, Forrest Luke, and Billy Nicholson of TMI accompanied the inspection in the field. <br /> <br />The weather was cool and clear. The ground was partially snow co vered on all three days. Mud was present in <br />the afternoons due to relatively warm temperatures. <br /> <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 <br /> Construction 4.03.1(3)/4.03.2(3) <br /> Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) <br /> Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) <br /> Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> Many roads were observed during the inspection, including Life -of -Mine, North AE, K1, HG, North A, <br />Z3, Middle Z, Middle A, West Ash, Middle Ash, B/C Haul Road, and several pond access roads. All roads were <br />stable and ditches appear ed to be functional at the time of the inspection. The access road to the Oak Gulch ponds <br />has been repaired since the October inspection. <br /> <br />Several ditch -outs were inspected along the Life -of -Mine Road, and no significant erosion or other problems were
