The inspection began with a review of the permit
records, which are housed at the office of the nearby Broad Canyon Landfill. No one was
available to represent the operator during the field portion , but I did speak with David Andrews,
the landowner, while at the landfill office.
Skies were clear during the field portion of the inspection, and there was a cold breeze blowing.
North -facing slopes still held a few inches of snow, while south -facing slopes were generally
bare. Flat surfaces were muddy, or partially covered with snow.

PERMITTING UPDATE
SL -3 - A partial application for final bond release was received on January 5, 2012. The
Division will be unable to determine the application to be c omplete until proof of publication
(following 4 consecutive weeks of notice) has been provided.

AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1):
 Permit records were reviewed as a part of this inspection. A completed DRMS Availability
of Records form is attached to this report.

FISH and WILDLIFE – Rule 4.18:
 Although not technically within the permit area, a bald eagle was sighted flying low
overhead as I left the office where the records are kept.
