<br />§906.1 Scope.
<br />This part contains all rules applica-
<br />ble only within Colorado that have
<br />been adopted under the Surface Mining
<br />Control and Reclamation Act of 1977.

<br />§906.10 State regulatory program ap-
<br />proval.
<br />The Colorado State program as sub-
<br />mitted on February 29, 1980, and
<br />amended and clarified on June 11, 1980,
<br />was conditionally approved, effective
<br />December 15, 1980. Beginning on that
<br />date, the Colorado Department of Nat-
<br />ural Resources was deemed the regu-
<br />latory authority in Colorado for sur-
<br />30 CFR Ch. VII (7 -1 -11 Edition)
<br />face coal mining and reclamation oper-
<br />ations and for coal exploration oper-
<br />ations on non - Federal and non - fndian
<br />lands. Copies of the approved program
<br />are available for review at:
