The weather was cool and clear and the ground was partially covered <br />with snow. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Si ltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9 ; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> At the loadout, the pond has been filled with soil. There was no sign of erosion at or near the pond area. <br />At the time of the inspection no water was flowing from the pond area; the weather was too cold for thawing. <br /> <br />Sil t fence and straw wattles were in place were the former pond area drains (the northwest corner). These best <br />management practices (BMPs) for sediment control have been improved since the December inspection. Wattles <br />now extend further up the bank to the s outh. <br /> <br /> <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE: <br /> The mine was found to be in general compliance with the permit. <br /> <br /> <br />RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3: <br /> The reclaimed area at the loadout appeared to be in good condition as no erosion, large weed patches, or <br />l arge bare areas were observed. <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br /> The entrance sign at the loadout was observed and found to be in compliance. <br />
