The reclaimed roadway has a southern aspect. <br />Vegetation is sparse on this reclaimed slope, both in the reclaimed area and in adjacent undisturbed land. Rilling <br />is minimal. <br /> <br />A portion of the access road serves as access for oil and gas wells and support facilities. This road is gated off of <br />Las Animas County Road No. 233. No problems were identified with the reclaimed roadway. <br /> <br />REVEGETATION – Rule 4.15 Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br />The reclaimed area exhibits a good stand of grasses with infrequent shrub species, and a few pinyon pine <br />seedlings. The vegetation is currently dormant, with some of the cool season grass crown showing signs of <br />gre e ning up. No problems were identified with the re -established vegetati on. <br /> <br />S IGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br />The mine ID sign is posted at the gate to the west of Las Animas County Road No. 233.
