Pineda <br />Director <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to approve a renewal application for coal <br />mining and reclamation permit. The application was submitted by Honeywood Coal Company on June 30, 2011 for <br />the Hamilton Mine. In accordance with Rule 2.08.5(3)(b) of the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Board for Coal Mining, we are providing notice of this proposed decision. <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by the proposed decision may request a formal hearing <br />before the Mined Land Reclamation Board within 30 days of the first publication of the public notice by the Division in <br />the San Miguel Basin Forum. <br />The Surface mine is located approximately 3 miles Southeast of Naturita, Colorado. The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br />Township 46 North, Range 15 West, N.M.P.M. <br />Section 32: E1 /2E1/2 <br />Section 33: W1 /2, Disturbed areas in the S1 /2NW1 /4NE1 /4, <br />SE1 /4NE1 /4, W1 /2NW1 /4SE1 /4 <br />Township 45 North, Range 15 West, N.M.P.M. <br />Section 4: Portions of Lots 3, 4, 5, 6, 11 & 12 <br />Section 5: N1 /2NE1 /4NE1 /4 <br />Copies of the renewal application are available for public review in the Division offices at the above address and at the <br />Montrose County Courthouse Nucla Annex. <br />A Copy of the Division's "Proposed Decision and Findings of Compliance" is also available at those locations. <br />If you have any questions, please contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br />Jared L.
