Pineda <br />Director <br />We have received your application to renew your permit to conduct coal mining in Colorado. Our <br />initial review indicates that all preliminary items required by Rule 2.08.5(2)(b) have not been <br />submitted. Thus, your application is incomplete for the purposes of filing as of February 24, 2012. <br />Rule 2.07.3(2) includes the requirement that the proposed notice of publication shall include the <br />precise location and boundaries of the land to be affected by the proposed surface coal mining <br />operation. As further clarified in 2.07.3(2)(b), this may be accomplished by map or by description. <br />Please revise the proposed public notice to include 1) a detailed list of the all of the Sections (and <br />portions thereof) that lie within the permit boundary; or 2) a map which fulfills the requirements of <br />the rules. <br />In accordance with Rule 2.07.3(1), you have the opportunity to amend, review, or otherwise make <br />your application complete. <br />If you have any questions, please contact me. <br />Sincerely, <br />Marcia L.
