<br />GCC Energy, LLC, 6473 County Road 120, Hesperus, Colorado 81326,
<br />phone (970) 385 -4528, has filed an application for a permit renewal of a
<br />valid existing permit (RN -06) for the King I Mine & King II Mines (permit C-
<br />81 -035) with the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining 8s Safety. The
<br />area of the subject permit is located in Township 35 North, Range 11
<br />West, N.M.P.M.; Section 28: SW /4 SW /4; Section 29: S/2 SE /4; Section
<br />31: SE /4, S/2 NE /4, S/2 SW /4; Section 32: SW /4, NW /4, NE /4. Also, a
<br />tract in Sections 29 and 30 beginning at a point on the South line in said
<br />Section 29, whence SW corner of said Section 29 bears West, 9.16 feet;
<br />Thence N 22 37'W, 551.30 feet; Thence S 22 37'E, along said line, 560.0
<br />feet to South line of said Section 29; Thence West along said South line
<br />85.04 feet to point of beginning, approximately .92 acres. Township 34
<br />North, Range 11 West, N.M.P.M.; Section 6: N /2, N/2 SW /4, N/2 SE /4,
<br />NE /4 SW /4 SE /4, S/2 SW /4 SE /4, SE /4 SE /4; Section 5: SW /4, W/2

<br />Section 8: N/2 NW /4. Township 35 North, Range 12 West, N.M.P.M.;
<br />Section 36; Section 35: N/2 SE /4, La Plata County, Colorado. The
<br />surface of the area covered by this permit is owned by GCC Energy, LLC,
<br />Huntington Ranches, LLC, State of Colorado, B.L.M., and Crawford
<br />Ranches. The permit area is located on the north and south sides of Hay
<br />Gulch, approximately 4.5 - 6.5 miles southwest of Hesperus, CO, as
<br />identified on U.S.G.S. 7.5- minute quadrangles of Thompson Park,
<br />Hesperus, Mormon Reservoir, and Kline. Underground mining methods
<br />are in use. The proposed land use at the completion of mining is
<br />rangeland. A copy of the application is available for public review at the

<br />Durango, CO, and at the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining 8v
