Jason; Berdine, Mike; Wallace, Dave; Long, Dave L
Subject: RE: FW: Twentymile Coal, LLC - NOV CV- 2011005 Abatement
Jason —
Attached is a field report and photos (sent as three a -mails due to size) from our Tuesday, October 11th inspection of
the ongoing abatement activities, for the above - referenced NOV. The following summarizes the current status of the
NOV abatement activities:
• All waste material has now been removed from Deakin's Pit and transported to Twentymile
• Bower has completed processing and segregation of the waste materials at the Ross Pit, and has transported all
of the fines (No. 4 product, as identified in 09/28 Report) to Twentymile for placement and disposal in the Coal
Refuse Disposal Area
• All of the intermediate coally material (Nos. 2 and 3 products) has also been transported to Twentymile, where
it has been windrowed adjacent to the Run -of -Mine Coal Stockpile, and incorporated into the Washplant feed,
after being inspected for any debris
• Bower has completed removal and segregation of most of the debris (ie: wood, metal, cable and hose, concrete
block, etc.) from the coarse reject material from the initial grizzly, and has loaded and transported all coal and
rock from the coarse product to Twentymile. The debris is stockpiled separately (see photos) and will be hauled
to the Twin Landfill for disposal today.
• Once the portable screening plant is moved (probably today), the very minor amount of residual coal waste
under and around this unit will be cleaned -up, loaded, and hauled to Twentymile (to be handled the same as the
No. 3 product)
Based on our site observations, and the information provided in this report, the final abatement step should be
completed today, and the sites (Deakins and Ross Pits) are ready for your verification inspection. Please let me know
when you are scheduled to inspect, as I would like to accompany you -
Best regards,
Jerry
Jerry M.
