PUBLIC NOTICE <br />GCC Energy, LLC, 6473 County Road 120, Hesperus, Colorado 81326, <br />phone (970) 385 -4528, has filed an application for a permit renewal of a <br />valid existing permit (RN -06) for the King I Mine &, King II Mines (permit C- <br />81-035) with the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining &, Safety. The <br />area of the subject permit is located in portions of Sections 31 &, 32; T35N, <br />R1 1W, N.M.P.M. Sections 5 &, 6 T34N, R1 1W, N.M.P.M., and Sections 35 <br />36; T35N, R12W, N.M.P.M. La Plata County, Colorado. The surface of <br />the areas covered by this permit is owned by Huntington Ranches, LLC, <br />State of Colorado, B.L.M., and Crawford Ranches. The permit area is <br />located on the north and south sides Hay Gulch, approximately 4.5 miles <br />southwest of Hesperus, as identified on U.S.G.S. 7.5- minute quadrangles <br />of Thompson Park, Hesperus, Mormon Reservoir, and Kline. Underground <br />mining methods are in use -. The proposed land use at the completion of <br />mining is rangeland. A copy of the application is available for public <br />review at the La Plata County Clerk and Recorder's Office, 98 Everett St., <br />Suite C Durango, CO, and at the Colorado Division of Reclamation, <br />Mining &, Safety, 1313 Sherman St., Room 215, Denver, Colorado 80203, <br />phone (303) 866 -3567. Anyone with a valid interest may submit written <br />comments or objections within 30 days of the last publication of this <br />notice.
