2011 DISTURBANCE AREA <br />SENECA II -W MINE <br />2011 ANNUAL RECLAMATION REPORT <br />There were no additional acres disturbed during 2011. The total disturbance is 1,381.9 acres. This <br />acreage is reflected on the CDRMS Annual Report Form and is discussed in the text of the <br />following report. The attached 2011 Reclamation map portrays the physical disturbance boundary <br />but does not include or show the 96.6 disturbed acres associated with the Tie - Across Haul Road. <br />BACKFILLING AND GRADING <br />There were 53.6 acres graded in 2011. <br />TOPSOIL AND SPOIL MONITORING <br />SCC is required by Permit C -82 -057 to monitor the salvage, storage, and redistribution of topsoil <br />and spoil handling operations at the Seneca II -W Mine. Only 53.6 acres of backfilling /grading <br />(MEHR and Haul Road A) and 59.4 acres of topsoil replacement were conducted during 2011, no <br />monitoring was conducted. <br />• Topsoil Recovery Documentation <br />There was no additional topsoil recovered during 2011. <br />• 2011 Topsoil Replacement Thickness <br />There were 59.4 acres of topsoil replaced along the MEHR and Haulroad A. No topsoil thickness <br />samples were collected, however an average of approximately 0.9 feet of topsoil was replaced over <br />the regraded area. <br />• Soil Pit — Topsoil Fertility /Spoil Suitability <br />No topsoil fertility or spoil suitability samples were collected in 2011. <br />• Topsoil Balance <br />SCC submitted a topsoil balance with Permit Revision 04 (dated 9/04). The topsoil balance has not <br />been revised because Seneca II -W is reclaimed except for roads and facilities areas. <br />Topsoil Salvage and Storage. No topsoil was salvaged during 2011. The life -of -mine disturbance <br />from which topsoil was salvaged (1,381.9 acres) and the topsoil stockpile sites as of December 31, <br />2011 are shown the 2011 Topsoil Replacement map. <br />The remaining stockpile volumes as of December 31, 2011 are listed in Table 11.1, Topsoil Stockpile <br />Volumes. As of the end of 2011, 20.5 acre -feet of topsoil remain stockpiled in the mining area and <br />73.1 acre -feet of topsoil are stockpiled along the Tie - Across Haul Road. <br />1 <br />
