Therefore, the soil <br />balance indicates that topsoil replacement depth will average 1.34 feet (16 inches). <br />• Soil Salvage, Storage and Replacement <br />No topsoil was replaced in 2011. The seeding included an upland seed mix and a mesic seed mix, <br />depending on location. Table 11.2, PSCM Upland Area Seed Mix and Table 11.3, PSCM Mesic <br />Site Conditions Seed Mix, present the permanent approved seed mixes. Even though <br />It should be noted that Woods rose and Golden currant were not included in the Mesic seed mix <br />since this seed mix was used in the drainage channels. <br />Seed tags for the seed mixes used are contained in Attachment A — Seed Tags. <br />No shrubs or trees were planted in 2011. <br />• Weed Control <br />Survey for noxious weeds was carried out on the PSCM reclaimed area in 2011. Whitetop and <br />Canada thistle was the primary target species, with lesser activity directed towards areas of <br />hounds tongue.
