( Location, number of acres and date of planting, for all previously revegetated areas:
The two water pipeline corridors, which represent approximately 1.4 acres, have been backfilled,
graded and seeded with a permanent seed mixture. The work was completed by H -G Coal
Company, the previous owner /operator /permitee, in conjunction with the facility construction
(circa 1979/1980).
Hayden Gulch Terminal, LLC assumes that Seed Mix No. 2 (improved pasture mix -
subirrigated/irrigated) was used for the corridor section found in Section 10, T6N, R88W. The
pipeline corridor found in Sections 14 and 15, T6N, R88W was most likely seeded with Seed Mix
No. 1 (dryland pasture mix). However, Hayden Gulch Terminal, LLC has been unable to locate
any information that documents what mixture was used to revegetate the two corridors.
Approximately 69.4 acres of the 97 disturbed acres have been seeded with Seed Mix No. 4
(temporary stabilization mix). Included in this acreage was the facility area, the three topsoil
stockpiles and the railroad spur and loop alignments as shown on Figure 1. The temporary
stabilization seeding was completed in conjunction with facilities construction activities (circa
1979/1980) by HG Coal Company, the previous owner /operator /permittee.
Weed Control. The permit area was surveyed for noxious weeds in 2011 to determine the need or level
of retreatment for previously treated areas. White top and toad flax were the primary target species of
control. The 2011 Disturbed Lands Map shows the noxious weed infestation areas that were treated in
2011.
Control areas were sprayed in June. A spot spray gun was used to concentrate control activities on target
areas, reducing potential impacts to adjacent desirable vegetation. The weed control areas will continue
to be monitored in 2012 for effectiveness and necessary retreatment.
2011 ARR 2
