Rgvision 14) and Updated Figures for Environmental Protection Plan
Dear Mr. Scott,
Attached please find a letter of certification for the recently constructed Tailing Delivery Line (TDL)
Environmental Protection Facility. The TDL was originally approved by the Division as Technical
Revision 14 to the Climax Mine Reclamation Permit M- 1977 -493. The certification is signed by a
Professional Engineer that the facility was constructed in conformance with the approved design.
During the technical review of the constructed TDL, we discovered that an existing containment
feature that runs roughly parallel to the TDL (and ETDL) along the east side of Highway 91 was
incorrectly named on Figures AM- 06 -T -01 and AM- 06 -T -02 of the Environmental Protection Plan
(EPP). This containment feature functions as an extension of the East Side Channel, an internal
Environmental Protection Facility mentioned in the EPP. Attached please find replacement figures
for the EPP that correctly identifies this feature as part of the East Side Channel.
Please feel free to contact me at 719 - 486 -7584 if you have any questions on the attached materials or
require anything further from us. Thank you for your consideration of this letter.
Sincerely,
I )
Raymond Lazuk
Environmental Manager
attachments
