Soil -depth requirements for reclamation vary from less than 30 cm <br />to over 90 cm. <br />2. Spoil quality is an important factor affecting soil -depth require- <br />ments. <br />3. Precipitation can exert a significant effect on soil -depth require- <br />ments. <br />4. Soil -depth requirements are modified by vegetation requirements, <br />especially with respect to annual and perennial species. <br />
