We hope to prevent the permanent damage and
loss of this historic region and site.
The Comanche Tribe of Oklahoma considers this area to be of historical cultural
significance. Historically the Yamparika (yap- eaters) band of the Comanches considered
this region, their home.
In the oral traditions of the Conan :he people, this region is considered important and
holds information of our culture that has yet been revealed.
We desire to continue those traditions and protect the inheritance of generations to
come.
Your assistance in this matter is greatly ap preciated.
Jimmy Arâ–ºerberry
Comanche he Tribe of Oklahoma
THPO(NAGPRI Representative
