Mining will affect about 221 acres. Two hundred acres are <br />already permitted. A total of 11,000,000 tons of usable sand <br />and gravel is expected to be produced at this site. Plans call <br />for removal of about 350,000 tons per year although economic condi- <br />tions will affect the yearly volume. Annual surface disturbance <br />will total about 50 acres for the active mining operation. <br />Water Diversion <br />As before, there will be no substantial use of water in the mining <br />operation. Water for dust suppression will continue to be supplied <br />from industrial wells owned by the company.
