Near the north end of the site
(approximately a quarter mile from the boundary), the second ditch from the top contained a blowout that is
causing a large rill, approximately one foot deep and four feet wide. Another blowout was observed in the next
contour ditch down the hill. Later in the inspection, a blowout was observed near one of the riprap lined channels.
These should be monitored and possibly repaired this summer.

Moffat Pond was slowly discharging. There was a sulfuric smell from the discharge at the Moffat Pond. No
problems were observed with the embankment or other pond features. However, Chris Miller indicated that the
primary spillway pipe is rusted and may be replaced in the future.

GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLANCE:
The mine was found to be in general compliance with the permit.

The fence at the Moffat Pond remains damaged near the southwest corner. Posts have been bent and the wires are
lying on the ground. Chris Miller indicated that the work will be performed when the ground dries out.

Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 6
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 3

26
Page of
