I believe that
equipment will be able to safely and successfully traverse much of the distance without the need for grading or stripping
of topsoil. However, there are a few segments where some sort of surface preparation will likely be required, including
some dozer work. I took a number of photos, and will upload them to the M -Drive now, so that we can discuss this issue
further when time allows.
Marcia
Marcia L. It is my understanding, and I made my findings accordingly, that WFC will not in
any way disturb the ground while moving the equipment through the approved corridor. No topsoil removal, no grading
whatsoever —just tires rolling over the ground. It is also my understanding, however, that they are trying to get
approval for a 404 to cross Tuttle Draw (or was it Nygren ?). When they get that approval, I need to review it to see what
they are proposing, and possibly revise my part of the findings if it's not consistent with the findings I've made for
sediment control and stream buffer zones. If they are proposing any earthwork or topsoil removal, we will have to
require them to address sediment control, which may necessitate getting design information into the permit application
package somehow. I know we're not going out with another adequacy letter, but we still need to have these things
addressed. So I guess it's just an FYI at this point, until we see the approved 404.
Susan L.
