The work is all within the disturbed area
boundary. Would this be processed as a TR or MR?
Jim Stover
J. E. The Temporary Load -Out for Truck Loading
will consist of a conveyor being fed by Twin Hoppers over feeders. The idea is feed the conveyor to obtain a mix of the
two seams of coal we are mining. We would like to get this built as soon as possible.
I'm also showing a future conveyor system that will need permitted for the two silos, as well. The conveyor
discharge ends will be designed so that both conveyors will dump into the same truck loading hopper. The temporary
system can be used until the permanent silo conveyor system is designed and built. Once the permanent silo system is
operational, the temporary system will be removed. The silo system will work on the same principle, so that we will
store a different coal in each conveyor and mix them as we load the trucks.
We will send these projects out to bid as bid - design -build projects, so this drawing is only a concept for what should be
engineered and designed. Once we choose a contractor, and the design is finished, we could submit a more detail
drawing if needed. We have already received more detailed concept drawings from one contractor on the silo system,
showing two different models to choose from. I can forward that information to you if you need it.
We would like to start right away on construction for the temporary system, so let me know what you can do on a
permit for that. If you need anymore information, please let me know.
Thanks,
Steve Smith
New Elk Coal
303 - 300 -8897
