From: Erickson, Wally
Sent: Tuesday, February 22, 2011 11:03 AM
To: Kaldenbach, Tom
Cc: Hernandez, Daniel
Subject: Citizen Inquiry from Dusty Beals
TAK:
Received a call today from Dusty Beals (970) 749 -7570, who indicated he lived on CR 120, south of the King Coal Mine.
Mr. Beals stated that he received my name and phone number from San Juan Basin Health. Mr. Beals stated that his
neighbor had surfaced his driveway with mine "tailings" and Mr. Beals was concerned about contamination of his well.
Apparently, Mr. Beals is concerned that the placed materials on his neighbor's driveway might percolate into ground
water and thereby contaminate his well. Mr. Beals described the placed material as "light black, maybe grey coloration,
rock, definitely not coal, possibly shale."
I informed Mr. Beals that Tom Kaldenbach was the man and gave him your number (303) 866 -3567 ext 8128.
=0
