Kerr (Marr) Mine — 2011 Annual Hydrology Report
7.0 FUTURE MONITORING
During the 2011 water year, monitoring activities were conducted according to methodologies and
procedures presented in the approved Kerr Water Monitoring Plan with reductions to the program as
approved by the DRMS since issuance of the Monitoring Plan. For convenience, Table 61, "Kerr Area
Hydrologic Monitoring Schedule" is included with this report in Appendix A. Kerr is currently seeking
approval from the DRMS to terminate groundwater monitoring via a Technical Revision (TR -26)
concerning future monitoring of the respective monitoring wells. On the interim, prior to approval to
terminate monitoring, Kerr intends to continue groundwater monitoring of the alluvial wells until a final
bond release is submitted and approved or until authorization is provided by the DRMS to terminate
monitoring.
Kerr has also submitted a request to the CDPHE Division of Water to terminate Discharge Permit COG -
850036 which pertains to discharge point #319 (the former Loadout pond). Approval of the request is
still pending.
7
