Timeline for Implementing Maintenance <br />Condition <br />Timeframe for Implementation <br />Maintenance of surface <br />roughening (SR) <br />In areas not seeded and mulched after surface <br />roughening, surfaces shall be re- roughened as <br />necessary to maintain groove depth and smooth <br />over rill erosion. <br />Maintenance of mulch (MU)- <br />crimped straw or hydro -mulch <br />Areas where erosion is evident shall be repaired and <br />additional mulch re- applied. If either the crimped <br />straw or hydro -mulch was applied as a stand -alone <br />erosion control measure (i.e., no temporary <br />vegetative cover was seeded), the area will need to <br />be monitored and the reapplication of either <br />crimped straw mulch or hydro -mulch may be <br />required to maintain effective soil stabilization over <br />the disturbed area. <br />Maintenance of mulch (MU)- <br />straw with tactifier <br />Areas where erosion is evident shall be repaired and <br />additional mulch re- applied. If the straw was <br />applied as a stand alone erosion control measure <br />(i.e., no temporary vegetative cover was seeded), <br />the area will need to be monitored and the <br />reapplication of straw mulch and tactifier may be <br />required to maintain effective soil stabilization over <br />the disturbed area. <br />Maintenance of mulch (MU)- <br />wood <br />Areas where erosion is evident shall be repaired and <br />additional mulch re- applied. Reapplication of the <br />wood mulch may be required to maintain effective <br />soil stabilization over the disturbed area. <br />Maintenance of construction <br />fencing (CF) <br />Replace any broken or bent over stakes. <br />Re- attach fencing material as necessary. <br />9.0 APPLICABLE STATE, FEDERAL, COUNTY, OR LOCAL PERMITS <br />This plan was prepared in accordance with the CDPS Construction Permit (COR- 030000) <br />and as part of obtaining a Sand and Gravel Mining Permit. <br />10.0 MAINTAINING AN UPDATED PLAN <br />The SWMP, including the site map will be amended (See Appendix A): <br />• When there is a change in design, construction, operation , or maintenance of <br />the site, which would require the implementation of new or revised BMPs; <br />Animas Glacier SWMP February 2012 <br />p. 23 <br />
