CC &V would, however, provide assistance in fighting off-site fires under the
following procedure and conditions:
• CC &V would respond with a fire response vehicle or a water truck to the site of a
fire at the request of the county sheriff, deputy in charge, or other recognized
county or State official. The water truck would be the primary response to an off -
site fire. Off -road equipment must:
(1) be authorized by the Teller County Sheriff or by the State Highway Patrol and
(2) be accompanied by an appropriate combination of warning vehicles
throughout all travel on County and State highways.
• The request for our response must be made to CC &V's Senior Vice President,
North America, the Assistant General Manager, or the on -site designee.
• Only the Senior Vice President, North America, the Assistant General Manager
or their designee has the authority to authorize off -site fire response and the
responsibility for designating the appropriate personnel to transport the vehicles
to assist in fighting the fire.
• Additional fire fighting equipment (earth moving equipment) or personnel can be
provided depending on the size and location of the fire. The need to preserve
sufficient operational functionality of CC &V operations will take precedence over
the assignment of fire fighting equipment or personnel to respond to off -site fires,
unless public safety is endangered.
Fire Plan
EMS: AGANA/CCV Printed Copies are Uncontrolled
G: \EMS\Plans \Emergency Response Plans\FirePlan.doc
- 12 -
August 17, 2010
Doc.# E -007
Rev. 05
