The mine is a reclaimed underground mine <br />which has been approved for final bond release on the majority of the permit area. The only remaining portion of <br />the mine is the reclaimed vent fan located north of Colorado Highway 12, and west of the reclaimed Golden Eagle <br />portals. <br />No personnel remain on site and no structures remain at the reclaimed vent fan site. The weather had been <br />snowing throughout the day but had cleared at the time of the inspection. Approximately 1/2 inch of fresh snow <br />covered the ground at the site. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE — Rule 4.18: <br />Although no animals were observed during the inspection there were numerous elk and deer tracks and scat across <br />the reclaimed area. <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE -Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6 Diversions 4.05.4;: <br />The remaining area has been pennitted as an SAE. As such, no sediment containment structure remains on the <br />site. Runoff is treated by passing through a vegetative filter. No rills or gullies appear to be forming. No visually <br />significant sediment was noted as leaving the site. The area visually appears stable. <br />A undisturbed area diversion ditch remains intact on the west side of the reclaimed vent shaft pad. <br />ROADS — Rule 4.03 Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br />The access road to the fan site has been reclaimed Vegetation is thin on this reclaimed road, but the surface was <br />left rough. No erosional features appear to be forming.
