Scott Cowman <br />BTU Empire Corporation <br />PO Box 250 <br />Hayden, CO 81639 <br />Re: Coal Exploration File No. X- 1994 -214-00 <br />Dear Mr. Cowman: <br />The Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety is proposing to Approve the release of a coal <br />exploration bond submitted by BTU Empire Corporation for Notice of Intent No. X -1994- 214 -00. This is a <br />partial bond release for holes drilled under NOI X- 1994 - 214 -00. The bond was submitted to cover <br />reclamation costs of exploration drill holes in Moffat County. Bond in the amount of $12,803.00 will be held <br />for reclamation of 8 boreholes that were converted to monitoring wells. A total of $231,197.00 will be <br />released for all holes sealed and abandoned and all disturbances reclaimed. The bond was submitted to cover <br />reclamation costs of exploration drill holes in Moffat County. An inspection showed that all disturbances <br />associated with the exploration project has/has not been adequately reclaimed. <br />The legal description for the project is as follows: <br />Section 18, 19, 30, Township 6 North, Range 91 West Section 12, 13, 14, 15, 23, 24 Township 6 North, <br />Range 92 West <br />Any person with an interest which may be adversely affected by this proposed decision may submit written <br />comments to the Division at the address below within 30 days of publication of this proposed decision in the <br />Craig Daily Press. <br />If you have any questions, please feel free to call. <br />Sincerely, <br />Office of <br />Mined Land Reclamation <br />Jason D.
