Atterberg Limits: —
Test was conducted usine a 12" diameter cell. The liner was placed on top of 4.2 inches of clay liner material, then
covered with approximately 8.7 inches of overliner material. Approximately 0-12 rocks were hand placed directly
on the liner prior to placement of remaining overliner material. A hydraulic jack was used to apply a load of 670 psi
to the sample over a period of 25 hours. The load was maintained for 50 hours. A dial gaze was used to monitor
deformation of the sample. At the conclusion of the test the liner was inspected and tested for punctures both visually
and by application of a vacuum. The vacuum ?ressure was 70 cam PIG.
Liner observations: A small hole was observed along the edge of the liner due to edge effect. With the exception of
this small hole, the liner passed visual and vacuum testing. Several surface irregularities and indentations were also
noted.
11/17/2004 GOLDER ASSOCIATES
Date: 8/5/04
Tech: NG
Review:
