EXHIBIT B <br />SITE DESCRIPTION <br />The site is currently range land consisting of 10.4 acres un- irrigated situated between the <br />Southway pit on the west and the County pit on the east, the old State Highway No. 374 <br />now known as West Road 7 North (a County Road) on the south and the Rio Grande <br />Canal Lateral No. 1 on the north. The soils are the Norte gravelly sandy loam (No) and <br />the Norte -Dunul complex (Nr), both proven to be good producers for the gravel, sands <br />and fill that are proposed to be mined at the site. It is at an approximate elevation of 7850 <br />feet. <br />The existing vegetation consists of Indian Ricegrass, Thickspikes Wheatgrass, Western <br />Wheatgrass, Blue Grama, Sand Dropseed, Bottlebrush Squirreltail, Louisiana Sage and <br />Four Wing Saltbrush. <br />The northern boundary of this tract is the right of way for the Rio Grande Lateral No. 1, <br />an existing irrigation lateral. The south boundary of this parcel is the old Colorado State <br />Highway No. 374 which in now West Road 7 North, a paved County road. The east and <br />west parcels adjacent to this tract a existing gravel pit operations as referenced above. <br />Immediately to the north of this parcel, across the irrigation lateral, is the McDonald Pit. <br />A power line crosses the northern portion of this property beginning near the northeast <br />corner of the tract and then running approximately west across the tract existing at a point <br />about 130 feet south of the northwest corner. Another powerline is located near the south <br />boundary in the County Road right of way. <br />A domestic well (Permit No. 139672) is very near the south boundary of the parcel next <br />to the road right of way at a point about 100 feet east of the southwest corner of the <br />parcel. This well is owned by the property owner (Rominger). <br />The Rio Grande Lateral No. 1 located along the north boundary is part of the Rio Grande <br />Canal system. <br />
